Music with Shannalee

Mini Music Classes teaching singing, movement, and rhymes for ages 0-4 & their loved ones in Missoula, MT.

Hi there! I’m Shannalee. Thank you for being here and looking into music education for your family. If you’re exploring the wonderful world of music for kids, I’m here to help guide you every step of the way! I’m from the beautiful state of Montana and have had the joy of teaching since 2013, all sparked by my deep love and passion for early childhood music education. I truly believe that music is not just an art form, but a vital component for brain development, especially during those crucial ages of 0-3 when our brains grow and develop at such a rapid pace. Active musical participation engages all areas of the brain, helping to create essential neural pathways that support learning and growth.

Many parents often wonder how best to start incorporating music activities at home, regardless of their own musical background or experience. After my training with renowned musicians and experts in the field, I passionately advocate for accessible music education that can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of skill level. In my engaging classes, you'll have the opportunity to learn how to sing, dance, and tell creative stories as a family, while also building a warm and supportive community around you. You don’t need to be a pro—let’s explore and discover how to enjoy music together in a fun and playful way! I hope to have the chance to sing and create beautiful memories with you soon!

"This is why I teach music
…not because I expect you to major in music,
not because I expect you to play or sing all your life,
not so you can relax,
not so you can have fun,
but so you will be human,
so you will recognize beauty,
so you will be closer to an infinite beyond this world,
so you will have something to cling to,
so you will have more love, more compassion,
more gentleness, more good
in short, more life."
